It is That Simple.....
We went for a 2-day Mission Trip to Derby on the 18th December. It was very different from the previous experience. I've run out of words to describe how I felt and learned from the missionary this time.
There was a random itinerary during the trips --- a visit to the local hospital, which none of us would have expected it. Our mission is simple, to sing a piece of Christmas Carol.
I saw many many patients lying on the bed, majority of them were elders. The atmosphere around was like a cold and dull winter, even colder than the freezing weather outdoor. There wasn't any glimpse of hope on their faces, nor a smile, not even the nurses and doctors do. It was tense in short !!!
To be frank, I was so scared initially when i thought we might get put off by the nurses or doctors. Surprisingly, we were most welcomed by the nurses (and of course the patients!!!) to sing for them. 8 of us then started to sing "The First Noel" .
They were so joyful and sang with us together. I saw a patient with "oxygen mask" sing with full of joy. Tears was streaming down the patients' faces (and the family members) when we finished. We shook their hands before we leave. I could feel that they did appreciate it a lot.
Winter has turned to spring in just minutes.
The power of love is amazing !!! Thank you Lord Jesus Christ.
